My daughter\u00a0said\u00a0our family vacation was a COUNTRYSIDE NIGHTMARE!\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/i><\/b>Before you think we took her to a crazy place let me explain\u2026.<\/p>\n
My family and and my best friends family met up to stay near Fredericksburg in a 160 year old house. \u00a0 It was SO secluded that you had to drive another 9 miles off the already secluded main road through water crossings, around huge hills (we think they are mountains in Texas) and then around cliffs and other rough terrain to arrive at the house.<\/p>\n
When we arrived at the house a scorpion fell from the top of the door when we opened it\u2026 a dead lizard was corroded to the door frame and to make matters worse a tribe of yellow jackets were living at the front door.<\/p>\n
On our way into the place we saw a snake cross the road, a jack rabbit that posed while I took a picture, a herd of cattle in the road while we were trying to drive, 7 deer, several birds and a partridge in a pear tree!<\/p>\n
IT WAS AWESOME!!!!<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/i><\/b> \u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
The place was seriously amazing! \u00a0 You could see every star at night and loved hearing all the wildlife.<\/p>\n
But, my daughter thought it was a countryside nightmare. \u00a0 Do you think she\u2019s a little dramatic!? \u00a0 \u00a0 I really think my husband and I need to work on her nature side.<\/p>\n
Anyway, we had a blast and we climbed Enchanted Rock – Which I highly recommend\u2026. the views are amazing! \u00a0 My daughter ran to the top of the hill as my husband and I tried\u00a0 to keep up behind her in case\u00a0 she fell we would have 2 adults ready to catch her. \u00a0 It was so cool to see how much she loved climbing the rock.<\/p>\n
I wanted to write this post because sometimes as artists we get stuck in our studio and don\u2019t get a chance to witness all the beauty around us! \u00a0 I was amazed at how the countryside looked like so many Texas wildlife paintings I have seen and how the artist that painted them took ![\"IMG_2864\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pvw.ril.mybluehost.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_2864-300x225.jpg?resize=300%2C225&ssl=1\")
such great attention to detail.\u00a0 \u00a0 This weekend was so much fun. \u00a0 Our phones rarely had service and the tv stayed off the entire time.<\/p>\n
\u00a0It was so nice to unplug and notice all of God\u2019s beauty.<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 <\/i><\/b>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
