Have you ever thought about painting your wooden floors!?!?\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

What color? \u00a0 What style? \u00a0 Is it possible to make it look shabby chic? \u00a0 WHY NOT? \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

For 2 1\/2 years my family lived in an awesome farm house out in the country! \u00a0 It had huge trees surrounding the property and a massive tree right by our back door that held our tree swing. \u00a0 My husband hung awesome white lights in the trees.<\/p>\n

Sometimes at night we would turn on Jamey Johnson (awesome country singer) and grill out.\u00a0 \u00a0 I felt like I was at this amazing secret heaven just for my family under the stars and that beautiful tree.<\/p>\n

Man, I miss that place! \u00a0 \u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Anyway, the inside of the house was so cool.\u00a0 The floors were pretty beat up so I decided to paint the floor down the hallway.\u00a0 \u00a0 I googled some ideas on Pinterest and decided to make it look like a rug.<\/p>\n

The key to painting a floor was to do it in layers!\u00a0 \u00a0<\/b> Oh, and it helps if you are part gymnast! \u00a0 You should have seen how many weird ways I had to try and paint something without stepping on another part of the wet paint.<\/p>\n

So, if you want to tackle your floor this Fall here are a few tips to get this look!<\/p>\n

Step 1:\u00a0 <\/b>Paint a solid layer of Turquoise paint – Let Dry<\/p>\n

Step 2:\u00a0<\/b> Paint a solid layer of White – Let Dry<\/p>\n

Step 3:\u00a0<\/b> Take a sander and rough up the paint so that the turquoise will show through. \u00a0 \u00a0 Sometimes the sander went all the way through\u2026 that\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n

Step 4:\u00a0 <\/b>LAYERS, LAYERS, LAYERS<\/p>\n

Start with your big turquoise flowers and basic shapes and then continue adding layers and details until you are happy!<\/p>\n
