{"id":12174,"date":"2015-12-27T19:44:19","date_gmt":"2015-12-27T19:44:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/texasartandsoul.website\/migration\/?p=12174"},"modified":"2021-11-29T14:23:58","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T20:23:58","slug":"if-it-wasnt-on-fb-it-didnt-happen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/texasartandsoul.website\/migration\/if-it-wasnt-on-fb-it-didnt-happen\/","title":{"rendered":"If it wasn&#8217;t on FB, it didn&#8217;t happen&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pvw.ril.mybluehost.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/images-4.jpeg?ssl=1\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-12175\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12175\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pvw.ril.mybluehost.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/images-4.jpeg?resize=259%2C195&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"images-4\" width=\"259\" height=\"195\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This weekend I did something pretty stupid.&nbsp; &nbsp; I\u2019m not proud of what I did, but it was a dare and I made <b>$50<\/b> from it!&nbsp; &nbsp; BUT, I did not video it!<\/p>\n<p>It made me realize that our actions are <b>ALWAYS<\/b> documented! &nbsp; This new world of technology has made it where if it\u2019s not on FB, Instagram or even YouTube it\u2019s like it didn\u2019t happen. &nbsp; It made me sad for just a minute that I didn\u2019t video it, but then it made me smile.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes living in the moment is all you need!&nbsp; &nbsp; I realized after my daughter opened all her Christmas presents this year that I hadn\u2019t taken a single photo. &nbsp; My husband said \u201cGood\u2026 you were with us\u2026 not worried about taking a picture!\u201d&nbsp; &nbsp; And it\u2019s true\u2026. our world is SO focused on what we can show to other people that sometimes we forget to live in the moment.<\/p>\n<p><b>So\u2026\u2026 &nbsp; Here\u2019s what I did that was stupid! &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p>I was at a family party and was dared to jump into the pool. &nbsp; It was around 9pm at night\u2026we just had a huge cold front come in (well, cold for Texas &#8211; around 45 degrees) it was raining\u2026 a little lightning and the pool was calling my name!<\/p>\n<p>After a quick dare to jump into the freezing cold pool, I shook hands and asked to see the money up front!&nbsp; &nbsp; As soon as I saw the cash in hand I took off my jewelry and ran straight to the pool and jumped in like a kid starting her first day of summer camp!<\/p>\n<p>It had been 70 degrees in Texas until about an hour before when we suddenly got hit with storms and unfortunately tornadoes.&nbsp; &nbsp; We were very lucky and did not get any of the tornadoes that a town about an hour from us did.<\/p>\n<p>My mind was still on the 70 degree weather and the $50 bucks <b><i>UNTIL<\/i><\/b> about the time I hit the water and realized it was COLD!!! &nbsp; Not just cold, but <b>Polar Bear Plunge cold! <\/b>&nbsp; After my daughter danced around saying \u201cyou\u2019re cray &#8211; cray Mom\u201d about 100 times I finally got warm again! &nbsp; I do have to admit it was quite invigorating.<\/p>\n<p>So, even though I wished I would have had it videoed to show you sweet people\u2026.
