Have you ever been knocked down?\u00a0 \u00a0 Have you ever had a bad day?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Well, let me tell you a little story. \u00a0 I\u2019m an EXTREME<\/b> optimist! \u00a0 Pretty much to a fault sometimes.\u00a0 I always think the best of others even when they are wrong. \u00a0 For example: \u00a0 Someone might say something rude to me and although it makes me a little angry, I just silently think in my head that they must have something going on at home.<\/p>\n

My husband is a realist. \u00a0 He always wants the best, but has a plan B for when my extreme optimism doesn\u2019t work out.\u00a0 I think that is what keeps us balanced.<\/p>\n

Well\u2026 this month has been brutal for our family. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

* ICU Hospitalization of a family member<\/p>\n

* Husband\u2019s big job didn\u2019t come through<\/p>\n

* Working on taxes gave me heart palpitations – Numbers are NOT my friend!<\/p>\n

* Sprained my painting arm<\/b> trying to be a gladiator at a bootcamp<\/p>\n

* Husband now being laid off from his current job<\/p>\n

Then I realized\u2026 Sometimes LIFE can just SUCK!\u00a0 \u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Being an optimist I try to look at all the good in my life. \u00a0 I have tons! \u00a0 Great husband, daughter, family & friends that love me. \u00a0 A warm bed to sleep in, food on the table, great clients, a job that I love, etc\u2026.etc\u2026.\u00a0 The list goes on.<\/p>\n

Even as I write this I feel guilty. \u00a0 Most people in the world have it WAY worse than we do right now!\u00a0 \u00a0 But, my feelings still are there. \u00a0 My thoughts still go to that place of WHY is this happening? <\/b><\/p>\n

I know this is a small trial in our life and we will get through it as we always do.<\/p>\n

I keep remembering quotes like: \u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s not the amount of times you get hit, it\u2019s the amount of times you get back up.\u201d\u00a0 OR \u201cThe struggle you are in today is what is developing the strength you will need for tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then I start to FREAK out<\/b>\u2026. What does God have planned for us tomorrow if this trial is giving us strength to get through something else!???!!??\u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Anyway, my point is\u2026.\u00a0 Sometimes LIFE SUCKS!\u00a0 <\/i><\/b>\u00a0 But, it\u2019s all about how you react to it.<\/p>\n

My daughter (she\u2019s 9) immediately said \u201cCome to my room for a family meeting!\u201d) \u00a0 She has a white board and made a chart with Mommy, Pixie and Daddy at the top.\u00a0 \u00a0 She then asked us to go in rotation and call out places that he could work.\u00a0 Of course my first thought was Marshall\u2019s! \u00a0 (Hey – I want the discount on the discount clothes!) \u00a0 Pixie says the new CC\u2019s Pizza that\u2019s opening soon\u2026 She loves pizza like we all do!\u00a0 \u00a0 I come back with Babe\u2019s Chicken house, Pixie with Michaels\u2026etc\u2026After going around about 3-4 times with all our top picks we all agreed THE SKATING RINK!\u00a0 \u00a0 (our family has some sick moves)<\/b><\/p>\n

So, you have to find a sense of humor in EVERYTHING!<\/b>\u00a0 \u00a0 Life can be hard\u2026. it definitely will throw you some curve balls. \u00a0 But, as you go through the hard times, find a way to laugh.\u00a0 \u00a0 Find any small thing that can make you smile so you can get through it.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

With that being said\u2026 We\u2019ve said our prayers and asked for guidance on the next chapter of what life will bring us.<\/p>\n

Then, I\u2019ve dove face first into painting. \u00a0 This is where I find my peace.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I hope this email \/ blog post finds you well\u2026. and remember, we wouldn\u2019t recognize the good times in life without the bad.\u00a0 So if you\u2019re in a good place cherish it, appreciate it. \u00a0 Enjoy it!<\/p>\n
