However I did select a filter to make me look tan! <span class=\"_5mfr _47e3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img\" role=\"presentation\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/fd4\/1\/16\/1f606.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><span class=\"_7oe\">????<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes working for yourself can feel really alone.<\/p>\n<p>Most days you are isolated&#8230; knowing you are on the cusp of something REALLY GREAT, but it feels decades away!<\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Talking to family about your business struggles can sometimes leave you feeling unheard.<\/p>\n<p>Not because they don\u2019t care&#8230; but because they don\u2019t understand. They can\u2019t add value to the conversation because it\u2019s not something they know.<\/p>\n<p>We stay up at night thinking of the next Paint Party&#8230; Will I be good enough?<\/p>\n<p>For those of you just starting your thoughts are&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Will I EVER have a paint party?<\/p>\n<p>Will anyone show up?<\/p>\n<p>It starts to feel like you are getting picked last in gym class if the headcount is low or even worse&#8230; crickets.<\/p>\n<p>Then there\u2019s the time when you DO have a large sign up and then thoughts emerge even louder&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>What if I do show up and I\u2019m terrible? What if they know I\u2019m scared?<\/p>\n<p>What if they realize I\u2019m not that good of a painter! What if they ask me to free hand their initial and I totally mess up their painting!!?<\/p>\n<p>These are the things that keep us up at night.<\/p>\n<p>Then if you have done several paint parties for many years like I have&#8230; the fear doesn\u2019t go away. It can actually get louder.<\/p>\n<p>However, there is hope&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>You get better at surrounding yourself with people who are a step ahead of you.<\/p>\n<p>You get better at calming the overwhelming doubt that can haunt you.<\/p>\n<p>You pray.<\/p>\n<p>You realize it\u2019s NOT about you!<\/p>\n<p>You understand that there is a bigger purpose behind the painting.<\/p>\n<p>A purpose of connection, community, joy, laughter, hope, and okay yes&#8230;. a little paint!<\/p>\n<p>You know there\u2019s a reason you\u2019re on this path.<\/p>\n<p>Running your own business has lots of details especially in the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>Lots of new things and it can feel like your head will explode!<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re not alone.<\/p>\n<p>Remember there\u2019s others out there like you.
