I FEEL you. I wouldn’t wish money problems on anyone. But I’m here to tell you that YOU too can be a business owner after bankruptcy. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Becoming a Business Owner After Bankruptcy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I know what you might be thinking. How can you start a business with no money? Or worse – a mountain of debt?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s still so hard to believe that a little more than 10 years ago, I was at my lowest point. My husband had lost his job, and there we were with a new baby and a bunch of maxed out credit cards. I never thought I would declare bankruptcy<\/a>, but there I was, not even 30 yet, doing just that. I’ll never forget the guilt, shame, hopelessness, and embarrassment I felt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Using<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The reason I’m telling you all of this is to spread hope to anyone who may be in a similar situation now. Trust me when I say you will be okay! I strongly believe that God will provide when you need Him the most. How do I know? It happened to me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focusing On Your Passion During \/ After Bankruptcy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I don’t know it at the time, but at my lowest moment, I was using art to heal. I started painting to keep my mind off of my money problems. And wouldn’t you know it, it was like a miracle happened. It was my passion<\/a> – my art – that helped lift me up and catapult me into a whole new world I didn’t know was possible. God had a plan for me and my family that totally changed our situation and in the end, we were ok. You will be okay, too! You are worthy. Please believe me when I say that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Find<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Do you have a dream for yourself? If not, that’s okay! If you are feeling lost and like you have no plan for the future, don’t lose hope. God works in mysterious ways and has a plan for you whether you know it or not. Sometimes you just have to get back to the basics and focus on what you love, even if you’ve abandoned your passion long ago. It’s never too late to rekindle that flame!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bankruptcy Stories: Turning Your Passion Into a Small Business<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you’re sitting here thinking that it would be impossible to make your dream a reality or to start your own small business from nothing, I hope my story will inspire you. After declaring bankruptcy, I started painting decorative surfboards<\/a>. Mind you, I totally didn’t think that I could ever start a business from my art<\/a> – I was just doing it to help myself feel better about my situation. I set up a little booth on the beach. I had NO idea what I was doing and felt so doubtful that this could work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wouldn’t you know it, people actually wanted to buy my surfboards! I couldn’t believe it. God came through – as He always does!!! Every time, y’all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growing Your Business<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Over the course of two months, I painted over 1,000 surfboards and ended up making $20,000 working just three days a week! Sounds impossible, right? But remember when I said God works in mysterious ways? He found a way for me to provide for my family doing what I love!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
